Overwatch's Workshop Offers Custom Game Modes Which You Can Test

Custom Game Modes in Overwatch

Overwatch's newest addition is a new feature known as the Overwatch Workshop. It allows players to design not only new game modes but even prototype new heroes using the same scripting tools similar to those that Blizzard themselves use to develop the game.

And the Overwatch community has wasted no time in creating a myriad of engaging and fun custom modifications for the game. Here are our top choices.

Gun Game

Gun Game was originally a fan-mode of Counter-Strike, and later it was adopted by Call of Duty Black Ops. The mode is now available to Overwatch.

Each kill transitions you up to a different hero. You'll be unable to play again. The goal is to be the first to make your way through all heroes and score a kill with all the heroes of the game, without dying. Best of luck!

Battle Royale

The genre has been growing in popularity, there have been plenty of demands which aren't as serious as others to Blizzard to bring battle royale to Overwatch. The company hasn't yet done it however, the introduction of the Overwatch Wworkshop has provided the community the opportunity to develop their own battle royale modes to the game in the time. Where we dropping, boys?

DVA Bumper Cars

DVA Bumper Cars is a modified version of the zone control mechanics used in battle royale mode. DVA Bumper Cars modifies the rocket booster of DVA to have infinite in duration, and gives you the job of taking other players off the map. Boop or boop until you have one star.

Magnetic Payload

In the custom game modes in overwatch community, there is a common saying that it's very difficult to trust your colleagues to protect the payload. The Workshop mod makes the payload magnetic, solving this problem. If a player gets too close, the Payload will draw them in, just as Zarya's Graviton Surge would.

Overwatch Smash Bros

This Workshop mode modifies Overwatch with the help of Nintendo Super Smash Bros. This mode is designed to take out your foes and then make them disappear off the map. Every hit makes the next one more powerful. It's fun and chaotic, and unlike every other custom game modes in overwatch game mode.

Ice Surfer Mei

If you found that Mei's capabilities to construct ice walls and freeze enemies are not enough this Workshop mod changes Mei's gameplay by allowing her put ice on the ground front of her and then skate through the terrain.

MOBAWatch

Overwatch is one of the games that owes the most to first-person shooters that are team-based like Team Fortress 2 as it does MOBA games like League of Legends. The mod alters the view of Overwatch towards one that is more top-down.

MOBAWatch is an innovative modification to the game Overwatch and gives numerous heroes more power. There's not a share code available for the custom mode at this time but you can see the game in action here:

Grappling Hook Hog

Roadhog can be able to hook you, making it one of the most frightening scenarios that can occur in Overwatch. Roadhog is more terrifying in Workshop mode, in which his hook doubles as grappling hook. Instead of bringing things to Roadhog and then dragging him to his target, the hook brings him to his target. Oh my!

Overhot

Superhot, a first-person shooter that came out a few years back, had a very elegant look and an impressive hook. Enemies are only moved when you click. This Workshop mod transforms the concept into Overwatch.

No matter if you've played the original Superhot Overhot is a fun mode to play around with.
